Welcome to Makai Mercantile!

I'm Connie, the founder and maker behind Makai Mercantile. Creating luxurious, small batch body care is my passion. I've always been drawn to the art of skincare, but when I first began, I had no idea what truly went into crafting a high quality product. Through countless hours of research, experimentation, and dedication, Makai Mercantile was born.

Every formula is handcrafted in small batches using only the finest, skin loving ingredients. My fragrances are carefully curated to be both captivating and phthalate free, ensuring they are skin safe as they are indulgent.

The ocean is my greatest inspiration, a theme throughout many of my creations. "Makai" means "toward the sea" in Hawaiian, a reflection of the deep connection I feel to the water. Many of my products took shape on the shores of Maui, where the rhythmic crash of waves and the songs of birds fueled my creativity. That island and its magic will always hold a special place in my heart.

Today, I create from my little workshop near New Orleans, in an area known as the North Shore. While it's not the North Shore I first knew, it has a beauty all its own.

I am always exploring new formulas, scents and ideas, and I can't wait to share what is next. This journey is one I truly love, and hope that passion shines through every product I create.
